Ørsted's bid includes innovative technologies that will help integrate ever larger amounts of offshore wind in the Dutch energy system, and Ørsted's Board of Directors has already approved the final investment decision for the project.
According to Martin Neubert, Executive Vice President and CEO of Ørsted Offshore, the company delivers a strong bid with a high degree of risk mitigation. Hollandse Kust (noord) Wind Farm Zone (HKNWFZ) is located 18.5 kilometers off the west coast of the Netherlands. The total surface area of the Wind Farm Site within this zone (including maintenance and safety zones within the WFS) is approx. 125 km². This Wind Farm Zone will accommodate 700 MW.
