Vestas has announced that on January 13 all wind turbine blades have been installed on the V164-8.0 MW prototype at the Danish national test centre in Østerild.
The turbine will be commissioned in the following weeks. Each blade weighs approximately 35 tons and the diameter of the root is 4.6 metres. The rotor diameter is 164 metres.
