A deal was closed by Nordex USA to return more than US$ 2.5 million in incentives for its Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA, wind turbine factory after it said it will stop production at the facility and lay off 40 employees.
Nordex will return US$ 2.31 million to the state and US$ 204,814 to the city, said the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. The company is shifting all manufacturing to Germany and keeping the Jonesboro facility as a hub for warehousing, service and training.
