In October GBT completed a full scale static test facility in Wieringerwerf, designed to apply ultimate blade design loads.
The test set-up is capable of testing blades up to 25 meters in length and was designed in-house including the jig, load cells and pulling system. Static testing can be done according to the IEC standards, a critical step toward GL certification.
