Global Energy Services (GES) is working on the installation of a 263MW wind farm 25 kilometres from Ras Ghareb , Egypt. The project will be installed in three phases that will be executed during the remainder of 2018 and the first semester of 2019.
This is the first wind farm in Egypt executed under a BOO scheme (Build, Own and Operate). GES will be responsible for the assembly of the 125 2.1MW turbines. The energy produced by the wind farm will be sold under a PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) to the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company(EETC).
