ScottishPower Renewables has contracted Van Oord to transport and install the foundation jackets on the East Anglia ONE offshore windfarm. Van Oord will use Seajack's Scylla as the main installation vessel for the works.
The Scylla vessel will be engaged on the project for at least six months, starting in April 2018. Scylla has 105 metres legs, and is capable of working in water depths of up to 65 metres. Deck space is 5000 square metres and it has a load capacity of just under 9000 tonnes. East Anglia ONE is a GBP 2.5billion offshore wind farm located in the southern North Sea, approximately 45 kilometres off southeast of the town of Lowestoft. It will generate 714MW of electricity when completed in 2020.
