Masdar has signed an agreement with Uzbekistan's Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade to develop over 2GW of solar and wind projects and 500 MWh of battery energy storage across Uzbekistan.

This collaboration supports Uzbekistan's goal of achieving 25 percent of its energy needs from renewable sources by 2030. Masdar has been actively involved in Uzbekistan since 2019, starting with the Nur Navoi Solar Project, and has expanded its portfolio to include the largest wind farm in Central Asia and three additional solar projects. Masdar's objective is to achieve a total renewable energy capacity of at least 100 GW by 2030.
