SSC Wind GmbH based in Wildeshausen, which specialises in the construction, maintenance and service of wind turbines, has filed for insolvency. The jobs of approximately 100 employees are secured until June 2019 according to law firm Schultze & Braun.

The insolvency petition is due to delays and construction freezes in two large wind farm projects as well as the bankruptcy of the wind turbine manufacturer Senvion, which led to a greater loss of claims at SSC Wind. According to CEO Hinrich Eden, the firm is already holding advanced talks with an unnamed party interested in buying into SSC Wind.
