Founded in 2008, the Langa group, based in Brittany, is an independent producers of renewable energy, simultaneously present in solar, wind, biogas and biomass. Langa is involved in the entire value chain of its projects.
It holds a portfolio in operation which by the end of 2018 is set to reach an installed capacity of 215MW of which 165MW in solar energy and 39MW in wind energy. The group is also developing 1.3GW of projects due to be completed by 2022. This acquisition will allow Engie, in addition to its organic growth, to intensify its development in renewable energies in France. Engie aims to develop nearly 3GW of wind and nearly 2.2GW of solar by 2021.
