Siemens Gamesa, in consortium with Sumec Hardware and Tools, has secured an order from the independent power producer Zephyr Power for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of a 50MW wind farm in Gharo, in the district of Thatta, Pakistan.

The scope of Siemens Gamesa is the supply of 25 of its G114-2.0MW, including environmental kits designed to maximize performance in high dust and high temperatures sites. Installation of the turbines at the Zephyr Power wind farm project is scheduled to begin towards the end of 2017 with the project slated for commissioning in August 2018.
