Construction of Acciona's largest wind farm begins in Australia Print E-mail
Tuesday, 21 November 2006
Acciona Energy has started building the Waubra wind farm in Victoria (Australia).

The Waubra wind farm will produce 192MW from 128 1.5MW wind turbines manufactured with Acciona Windpower technology, and represents an investment of € 238 million. This project is feasible thanks to the Victoria Government's approval of the Victorian Renewable Energy Target (VRET), which provides regulatory stability for investments in clean energies by requiring that electricity retailers purchase a minimum 10 per cent renewable energy by 2016. This will foster the sales of the energy output of the wind farm.
