Ventus Energy Inc. announces turbine supply agreements with Vestas |

Ventus Energy Inc. has announced that it entered into turbine supply agreements with the Vestas Group for the supply of 11 V80 - 1.8MW wind turbines and an additional 44 V80 - 1.8MW wind turbines, subject to the successful test of the first 11 units at the West Cape Wind Park in Prince Edward Island (PEI).
Ventus Energy also ordered 3 V90 - 3MW wind turbines for the Norway Wind Park which is also located in PEI. Both of these wind farms are controlled 100% by Ventus Energy Inc. Construction of both new facilities is expected to begin shortly. Vestas will supply, erect and commission the wind turbines for the projects as well as provide warranty, maintenance and service support for a five year period. Shipment of the wind turbines will begin in early 2007. The second phase of the West Cape Wind Park is planned for 2008. |
