Juwi to purchase up to 35 Kenersys wind turbines Print E-mail
Monday, 01 December 2008
The juwi group has signed an agreement with Kenersys Europe to buy wind turbines for its projects.

Kenersys is the European subsidiary of Indian company Kalyani Group. Under the agreement, Kenersys Europe will supply juwi with up to 35 K100 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with 2.5MW rated power and 100 meter rotor diameter over the next three years. Kenersys will produce the WTGs for juwi starting in 2009 in the north German port town Wismar on the Baltic Sea, in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Juwi is Kenersys' first client in Germany. Juwi intends to install the Kenersys WTGs in Germany and other European countries. It will use them in two variations: with 100- meter steel towers and 133-meter hybrid towers developed by the dutch company Advanced Tower Systems (ATS).
