A new high resolution wind map of the state of Jalisco Print E-mail
Thursday, 24 July 2008
Meteosim TrueWind has used the system MesoMap to produce a high-resolution wind map for 200.000 km2, covering the whole state of Jalisco, México.

The map shows the long-term wind at the hub height of the entire interest area with a final resolution of 100 meter. The wind maps, that are available for wind project developers and promoters, although they do not avoid the use of anemometric measurement, they allow to reduce the time and costs that are usually needed to identify and select convenient areas for wind projects, at the same time they allow a preliminary estimation of the production of future wind farms.
