GreenHunter Energy, Inc. has announced that it has been included in the ISE Global Wind Energy Index, which is the first global wind index to provide a benchmark for investors interested in tracking public companies that are active in the wind energy industry.

Eligibility to be included in the index is limited to those companies that are actively engaged in the wind energy industry. GreenHunter Energy currently has ownership interest in wind energy projects under various forms of development located in the states of Montana, California, Texas, New Mexico, and China. Further, GreenHunter executed a landmark master turbine supply agreement with a Chinese manufacturer of wind turbines: MingYang Wind Power Technologies. This agreement allows GreenHunter to potentially purchase more than 900 Mw of new capacity for wind projects to be developed between 2008-2012 in North America.
