REpower Systems AG posted gross revenues of EUR 150.2 million in the Short Fiscal Year 2008 compared with EUR 125.4 million in the same period of the previous year. This corresponds to an increase of 19.8 percent.

The operating result (EBIT) increased strongly in the reporting period from TEUR 225.4 to EUR 3.1 million. After taxes and interest this results in positive net earnings of EUR 1.4 million after TEUR 15.0 in the first quarter of 2007. In the period from January to March 2008, REpower Systems AG installed and re-cognised in income 65 turbines with a total output of 129.0 megawatts. This represents an increase in installed output of 112.0 percent compared to the same period of the previous year (32 turbines and 61.0 MW). At the end of the period under review, the order backlog amounted to 696 wind turbines (previous year: 498) with a total rated output of 1,419 megawatts (previous year: 984.5 megawatts). This corresponds to a potential order volume of around EUR 1.4 billion (previous year: EUR 888.7 million). The international share of output in relation to turbines which made up sales was over 82%.
