Increasing the coefficient of static friction Print E-mail
Monday, 09 June 2008
Increasing the coefficient of static friction with EKagrip friction shims and coatings from ESK is a simple but very effective and reliable way to reduce overall dimensions and weight of bolted or hub-collar connections.

EKagrip technology is based on electroless nickel coating with embedded diamond particles. Fitted in the joint between two components these particles penetrate the countersurfaces, forming a micro scale mechanical interlock which results in a greatly increased coefficient of static friction between these components.
