Meteosim TrueWind has carried out the Energy Production Estimates for more than 1,300MW wind energy projects in Galicia, Spain.

Answering to the Galicia Xunta's recent tender for the development of new wind projects, several developers have presented requests of new areas using Meteosim Truewind tools. This technology is based on the use of numerical mesoscale and microscale atmospheric simulations. SiteWind and MesoMap tools have allowed identifying areas and assess the wind with final resolutions near 100 meter. One of the most important advantages is the use of representative periods of more than 20 years, so the obtained data is representative for the life cycle of a wind project.
