Siemens Energy has been awarded another major order for a wind farm in the USA with a capacity of nearly 325MW.

Siemens will supply 141 units of its 2.3MW turbines for the Biglow Canyon Wind Farm Phases 2 and 3 in Sherman County in Oregon, USA. The purchaser is Portland General Electric Company (PGE. Phase 2 of the project is scheduled to be operational in late 2009, and Phase 3 is expected to be on line in late 2010. The Siemens scope of supply consists of delivery, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines including a five-year warranty and separate service and maintenance agreement.
