Diagnostic Tools for Wind Farm Performance Print E-mail
Tuesday, 18 December 2007

Recently Hélimax presented its methodology for the analysis and diagnosis of performance of operational wind farms.

As wind farm operators have realised, ensuring the optimal performance of a wind project is a complex process. Hélimax's flexible and efficient approach provides developers with a solution for improving wind farm efficiency and maximizing the energy output of wind farm assets. Through its methodology, Hélimax designs optimal preventative maintenance programs adapted to the particularities of each site. A thorough understanding of the site's meteorological conditions, by allowing for a precise analysis, a correct diagnosis and tailored solutions, is important to ensuring the optimal performance of a wind farm. Hélimax thus recommends that project developers prepare an integrated strategy, even prior to construction, to foster optimal conditions in advance in order to improve their projects' long-term performance.
