Alstom has just completed the acquisition of Spanish wind turbine company, Ecotècnia, for €350 million (on a debt free/cash free basis) based on the 1 January 2007 financial results.

The finalisation of the acquisition, which had been announced on 25 June 2007, was subject to transforming the company from a cooperative into a limited liability company. This acquisition is an important step in adding wind power generation to Alstom's existing renewable energies offer. Alstom will bring its investment capacity, industrial footprint and global reach to Ecotècnia, as well as access to the Group's technological resources and plant integrator capabilities.
