Horizon Wind Energy places order with Vestas Print E-mail

Vestas has received a 201MW order for 67 units of the V90-3.0MW wind turbine in the USA.

The turbines will be installed at Horizon Wind Energy's Meridian Way Wind Farm located in north-central Kansas near Concordia in Cloud County. Meridian Way is being developed and will be constructed, owned and operated by Horizon Wind Energy, and is a fully owned subsidiary of Energias de Portugal, S.A. The order comprises of the supply and commissioning of the turbines, and a five-year service and maintenance agreement. Delivery of the 67 wind turbines will begin in mid-year 2008, and commissioning is expected to be completed in 2008.
