Alternity Wind Power is being spun off from The Conti Group, a diversified engineering and construction firms in the USA.

The new firm seeks to partner with early stage wind power developers, and provide them with the financial, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning expertise they need to construct and commission their projects. Specialising in bringing on-line wind farms with capacities of 50MW or greater, Alternity Wind Power plans to ultimately create a portfolio of more than 2,100MW of wind power capacity in North America by 2012.
