Saudi Arabia will offer contracts for up to 1GW of installed renewable energy capacity during its energy auction in the fourth quarter of the year, said Turki al-Shehri, head of renewable energy project development at the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources. He said the auction will likely seek 400MW of new installed wind capacity. (source Bloomberg)
