Bachmann electronic has introduces a PLC-integrated grid measurement and monitoring module for electrical three-phase networks. The GMP232 offers additional calculation processes, high precision frequency measuring and enhanced protection functions.
The solution combines plant control (operational control) and grid technology in a modular unit. Grid and system protection can be implemented via the configurable monitoring functions, and the data can be routed to the operational control programs of the controller. Relay outputs enable the direct switching of two tripping circuits independently of the remaining PLC system. The GMP232 can be used as a PLC-integrated solution, but it can also be used in combination with a small M1-CPU as an autonomous grid measuring product.
