Invenergy Wind has announced its Number Three Wind Farm in New York State was selected to receive funding from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).

Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office announced the US$ 360 million in funding for NYSERDA to award 11 renewable energy projects in his State-of-the-State address earlier this month as part of the Clean Energy Standard, mandating that 50 per cent of the New York's electricity come from renewable energy sources by 2030. Invenergy’s 105.8MW Number Three Wind Farm will include wind turbines in the towns of Lowville and Harrisburg in Lewis County and is expected to be operational in 2019. The project will be comprised of 35-50 wind turbines.
