Siem Offshore Contractors (SOC) has announced that JDR Cable Systems has been selected to design, manufacture and supply around 163km of 33kV inner array grid cables for the 588MW Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm (OWF).
In addition to the submarine cable installation works, SOC will also provide associated materials and services including the supply of the submarine composite cables, cable protection systems and related accessories as well as post-installation termination, trenching and testing services. The offshore works for the package are due to begin in 2017, with project completion scheduled in 2018.
