Suzlon Group has commissioned wind energy projects with a total capacity of 900MW during the financial year 2015-16 (FY16), of which 520MW was commissioned in Q4 FY16.
This amounts to a more than 100% increase in installations, versus the 442MW installed during the financial year 2014-15 (FY15). Suzlon has approximately a 36% cumulative market share in India and has projects with a total capacity of 9,5GW installed across 8 states. Suzlon’s newest product variant S97 120 metre hybrid tower constituted 31% (134 wind turbines) of its total commissioned capacity. The wind energy sector in India recorded its highest installation of 3,300 MW in FY16, marking a 42.74% growth compared to FY15.
