Gamesa has been contracted to supply 33MW for five wind farms being developed by REG Windpower. In total, the company will install 17 turbines of the 2MW platform, and will maintain them for the next ten years.

They will install 2 G97-2.0MW wind turbines at Rodbaston wind farm, located in central England; 2 G80-2.0MW at French Farm, placed in Eastern England; 6 G87 at Mynydd Portref, in South Wales; 4 G80-2.0MW at Mynydd Brombil, also located in South Wales, and three G80-2.0 with a rated power of 1.66MW each in Brackagh Quarry, a wind farm located in Northern Ireland. The wind turbines are planned for delivery during the second half of this year and the wind farms are expected to be operational some months later.
