Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KEPCO E&C to collaborate on the development, construction and operation of overseas wind power projects.

Under the MOU, KEPCO E&C will be able to apply Doosan’s wind power solutions when co-developing wind power projects overseas, and would be chosen as an EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contractor. In December of last year, KEPCO E&C was awarded with a project from Jordan’s National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) to build and operate the 89.1MW Fujeij wind power plant in Amman, Jordan. The projects developed by the partners will utilise Doosan’s WinDS3000 3MW class turbines. The wind turbines that have been supplied or are currently under construction by Doosan amount up to 207MW (3MW x 69 units) to date.
