Gamesa has received an order from Rafisa, trustee of the Financiero Arias Trust, backed and managed by Uruguay's state utility, UTE, for the turnkey construction of a 70MW wind farm in Uruguay.

Under the scope of the agreement, the company will supply, install and commission 35 G114-2.0MW turbines at the Colonia Arias wind farm located in the department of Flores, as well as handling the civil works and electrical installations needed to set up and operate this development. The turbines are due for delivery next December so the project can be commissioned during the second quarter of 2017. Gamesa will operate and maintain the wind complex for its first 15 years in operation.
