A2SEA is currently planning the installation of two foundations and two Siemens 4MW turbines for the Taiwanese offshore project Formosa 1. The installation will start in June 2016.
The foundations and turbines will be installed by M/V TORBEN, formerly known as Friedrich Ernestine. A2SEA is operating the vessel under a Bareboat charter. The A2SEA project team is working on the installation preparations together with Swancor/Formosa Wind Power Co., Ltd, and the installation contractors Siemens Wind Power supplying and installing the turbines and ZPMC supplying and installing the foundations. The Formosa 1 Offshore Wind Farm is expected to deliver its first electricity by the end of 2016.
