Further Janneniska Group, the majority shareholder of Bladefence, has acquired a suspended platform to access wind turbines with more than 104 meters hub height and offshore. Particularly in Finland, where the hub heights are reaching 140 – 160 meters, the new platform will allow Bladefence to carry out blade maintenance work on these turbines. The company’s main method of access is still the skylift due to its fast set-up, however, acquiring the platform has been necessary in order to cater for the maintenance needs for higher turbines and offshore.
