The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) and the New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) have announced a tenders for 250MW of wind energy.
The facility, which will be developed on a Build, Own and Operate (BOO) basis, is planned for the West Nile Area. EETC will sign power purchase agreement (PPA) with the winner. NREA, on its part, will provide the land for the project. Interested parties should submit pre-qualification documents for the wind tender by October 5, 2015. Those who take part in the wind tender should have prior experience in building at least three 50MW facilities of the specific type.
