Turkish energy regulator EPDK has decided to hold a wind energy auction for 2GW ahead of schedule, moving the date up to October 2016.

Turkey has set a goal to increase its installed wind capacity to at least 20 GW by 2023. It has 4,032MW of installed wind capacity across 101 projects, according to Teias, a state power transmission company.
