Gaelectric Holdings plc has announce the appointment of Geraldine Kelly to its Board as a non-executive director. Geraldine has over 20 years of board experience contributing to successful businesses in energy, clean technology and the technology sectors.
She has held director positions at international board level with Frame Technology (Adobe), Visio (Microsoft) , Gartner Learning and Thomson Learning. In addition, she served as Chief Operating Officer with the Irish Management Institute and as Managing Director of ESBI Carbon Solutions Business.
The company also announced the appointment of Dr. Chuan Zhang as Chief Technology Officer to the Group. Dr. Zhang will be responsible for establishing the Group’s technical vision, leading all aspects of the Group’s technology development and align technology-related decisions with Gaelectric’s overall strategic goals. Dr. Zhang, who is relocating from Glasgow, is a former Chief Engineer of Generation at Airtricity. His most recent role was as Programme Manager for Transmission and Energy Storage with the Crown Estate.
