Gamesa has announced that Iberdrola Renewables has placed a firm order for Gamesa to supply 208MW for the Amazon Wind Farm US East, located in Perquimans and Pasquotank counties, North Carolina.
Under the terms of the agreement, Gamesa will provide supply, transportation, construction supervision, technical guidance and commissioning of the 104 G114-2.0MW turbines. Turbine deliveries are expected to begin in Q2 of 2016, with the project to be commissioned before the end of 2016. The power generated by the wind farm will be supplied exclusively to an Amazon data center.
