Windtech International - Babcock to supply substation for Rampion offshore wind farm

Babcock International has won a contract to build an offshore substation for Eon’s 400MW Rampion offshore wind farm.

The company will deliver design, engineering, procurement and construction of the 2500-tonne offshore substation platform topside and. The project off the Sussex coast will feature 116 V112-3.45MW MHI Vestas turbines and is a joint project between Eon and the Green Investment Bank.
