TÜV NORD has received an order from Dong Energy to monitor commissioning of the offshore wind farm Borkum Riffgrund 1.
Experts will test the function of the wind turbines on site - in particular their safety systems. TÜV NORD will also issue the project certificate at the end of the commissioning process – which is the prerequisite for regular operation. Two TÜV NORD experts will support the team from Dong Energy at sea for around three to four weeks as from the end of April 2015. The focus will be on the safety systems of all 78 wind turbines.
