Xcel Energy, Great River Energy and a coalition of 28 utilities have completed two of the CapX2020 transmission line project's five segments.
The segments span a combined distance of almost 500 miles. The transmission line will carry power throughout the state of Minnesota, including wind power from rural wind farms to the state’s urban centers.
