The walk to work systems will be mounted during first half of 2016 on two new built wind turbine service operation vessels (SOV) ordered by Bernhard Schulte and their affiliate Windea Offshore.
This is the first dedicated wind farm vessels with the new ULSTEIN SX175 design with X-STERN and X-BOW from Ulstein Design & Solution. The vessels will be ready for Siemens charter when both the “Gemini” and “Sandbank” offshore wind projects are scheduled to begin operations. In addition they have also the ability to use the vessels in the nearby “DanTysk” wind farm.
