MHI Vestas Offshore Wind has been granted type certification for the V164-8.0 MW from DNV GL.
During the second quarter of 2015 MHI Vestas Offshore Wind will commence serial manufacturing of the 32 V164-8.0 MW turbines for the 258 MW Burbo Bank Extension project to be installed of the coast of Liverpool Bay in the UK in 2016.
