Ontario, Canada, has launched its Large Renewable Procurement 1 program and has asked for wind energy request for proposals to be submitted.
Under the program, Ontario hopes to add 300MW installed wind energy to its infrastructure. Twenty of the tender's total 42 pre-qualified applicants are wind energy developers. Bids are due by 1st September. The winners will likely be announced in November or December.
