Pattern Energy Group LP has announced it has entered into a 13-year power purchase agreement (PPA) to supply power to Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com company.
AWS will acquire the production from the 150MW Fowler Ridge IV Wind project, to be renamed Amazon Web Services Wind Farm (Fowler Ridge). Pattern Development owns 100% of the newly named Amazon Web Services Wind Farm (Fowler Ridge) project, which is located in Benton County, Indiana. Pattern Development expects to begin construction in April and anticipates reaching commercial operation in late 2015 or early 2016.
