Vestas has received a 15-year agreement to provide its AOM 5000 service package to the Kibby Wind Project.

Located in Eustis, Maine, Kibby consists of 44 V90-3.0MW turbines, originally installed in 2009. Vestas provided service to the project beginning with its initial operation and this agreement extends Vestas’ commitment to the project through year 20 of its operating life. AOM 5000 is an energy-based availability guarantee that ensures the turbines are operational when the wind is blowing. The project is owned by TransCanada, a major North American energy company based in Calgary, Alberta, developing and operating energy infrastructure in North America.
