Alstom has signed two contracts, valued at € 14 million, to supply Voltalia Energia do Brasil with Electrical Balance of Plant (EBoP) systems.

The systems will connect two wind farm complexes in the northeast of Brazil, São Miguel do Gostoso and Vila Amazonas, to the transmission grid, and inject approximately 201MW of wind power into the Brazilian grid network. Alstom’s full turnkey scope includes medium and high voltage systems (equipment and services). Alstom will be responsible for the construction of the system that collects energy from each wind turbine, the step up substation, transmission line and connecting bays to the grid. High voltage equipment will be manufactured locally in Alstom’s plants, Itajubá and Canoas, in Brazil.
