The axial excluder seal HRC1 from SKF is designed to offer a high-performing alternative to rubber excluder seals that can wear out quickly due to the abrasive counter faces and poorly lubricated conditions often encountered in main shaft applications.
The HRC1 seal is made of a special H-ECOPUR, an SKF-developed polyurethane material. The engineered design helps keep the sealing lip lubricated, while minimising friction and wear. Together, seal design and material result in s extended seal service life, meeting standard wind farm maintenance inspection schedules. Available in solid and split executions, this seal also features a steel band clamp with a fast-lock mechanism for easy up-tower installations.
