Aerogeneradores Canarios S.A. (ACSA) has received its first order from Africa.
The scope of the contract is for the delivery, installation and maintenance of two A27-225kW wind turbine units for Nugaal Electric Company (NEC), a privately owned utility in Somalia. These units will be installed in 2014 as part of a hybrid wind-diesel-PV project for the electricity supply of Garowe City. The A27-225kW wind turbine of ACSA is a licensed version of the Vestas V27, which ACSA has manufactured since 1991.
