Sowitec has expanded its business operations into the MENASA (Middle East North Africa South Asia) region with the appointment of Usman A. Fateh as its Regional Managing Director.
Usman has over 13 years of multidisciplinary expertise in both wind & solar projects in the region. With a local team of 3 personnel working in close cooperation with head office in Germany, Sowitec has already started developing its local wind and solar power pipeline. When it comes to wind, Sowitec has gone further than its preliminary Wind Resource Assessment and has identified key spots for wind power generation. They are now preparing to deploy Solar & Wind Resource Assessment equipment at 10 specific locations across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within the next 2-3 months. They would channel more investment locally once relevant authorities in the country have finalised their support policy in for renewables.
