Alstom has been awarded a contract with ENEL Green Power Mexico for the supply and commissioning of 34 wind turbines at the new Sureste I–Stage II power generation plant in the Tehuantepec Isthmus, Oaxaca, Mexico.
The Sureste I, Stage II wind farm will be fully operational at the end of 2014. The farm will be equipped with 3MW wind turbines, from Alstom’s ECO 100 wind turbine platform. They incorporate Alstom Pure Torque technology, a rotor support concept that protects the drive train and other components from deflection loads.
